FIRST OF ITS KIND: THE DESCENDING WALL NOW ALSO MOVES UPWARDS
There are moments in life that deserve to be celebrated in a unique fashion. And what better way to highlight such moments than with a giant glass façade that glides upwards with effortless grace?
GUARANTEED TO DAZZLE
This spectacle awaits customers of Emil Frey Autohaus Grüze in Winterthur when they come to pick up their new Jaguar. Together with renowned project partners, HIRT Swiss Descending Windows set out to implement something never seen before: The HIRT ascending window weighs 1540 lb and is not lowered into the floor as usual, but instead glides upwards with a seemingly weightless elegance.
HIGH TECH MAKES THE BIG MOMENT HAPPEN
The ascending wall system allowed Architect Schällibaum + Partner to develop a highly innovative design for Emil Frey. The product properties of the 10.5 ft x 9.5 ft façade also shine: The triple-insulated glass offers top-of-the-line insulation, and the function and appearance of the solution are also sure to impress. When the gigantic ascending wall elegantly glides upwards during vehicle handovers, customers are treated to a VIP experience they are not likely to forget.
Stefan Hirt, visionary and lead engineer at HIRT Swiss Descending Windows, is also pleased with this new use of the perfectly balanced descender wall:
”Once again, we have proven that the possibilities with our descender fronts are truly endless. We are proud of our high-quality product that perfectly reflects the timeless elegance of the Jaguar brand.
